About Me

My name is Amanda and I have lived my entire life in New Hampshire. For those not lucky enough to have visited New Hampshire is in the heart of New England with the charm of small towns and a vast wealth of natural beauty. Driving around the state you feel like you have been in several states, not one. You can go from the ocean to the lakes to the mountains all in one day. Never mind the ability to go from city life to the complete oblivion of the woods without an hours-long drive. But what I love the most about New Hampshire is that there is so much tradition laced into the culture here.

If you meet a true New Hampshirite its likely that they have some connection to the land. I come from a family that used to harvest ice from Lake Wentworth in Wolfeboro, NH. That profession ended commercially in 1964 with the invention of the refrigerator. So my family moved on, remaining in the area, but changing professions. That being said my family still works the land through gardening and, once a year, harvesting Maple Syrup. This connection with the land has always made me feel a connection to previous generations and has inspired me to be who I am today.
